How to play Block Puzzle

Open Block Puzzle, check the instructions and begin a round. Place pieces and clear rows/columns until no offered shape fits. Check the relevant rule before repeating a move. Use the opening round to become familiar with the layout. Look at what changes after your first action.

Place shapes on an 8×8 board and clear full lines. The round ends when none of the current shapes fits.

Read before acting

Read one step at a time and try it on the playing area. Match the instruction to the control you use. Make the next step deliberately.

Your goal

Place pieces and clear rows/columns until no offered shape fits. An attractive position is not enough unless the goal is met. Start with a deliberate move.

Step by step

  1. Select a shape.
  2. Select its top-left board position.
  3. Clear full rows and columns.
  4. Use all three offered pieces to receive a new set.

Controls

Select a piece, then a board cell. On a smaller screen, keep the active part of the board within view. Look at the feedback after the action.

A useful example

One placement can clear both a row and a column. Apply the same reasoning to the position in your own round. Keep the controls nearby.

Watch out for this

Pieces cannot rotate in this edition. Compare the situation with the worked example. Locate the buttons and input area before beginning a long round. Use the on-screen labels to avoid an accidental restart.
